Classroom guidance is an integral part of our guidance program. At least one time each six weeks Mrs. Enoch goes into each classroom to teach lessons focusing on the six pillars of the Character Counts! program. Some of the topics are friendship, conflict resolution, empathy, feelings, and life skills such as cooperation, effort, courage, and perseverance.
Individual guidance is also a part of the program. Every child has some special needs at one time or another so I am available to provide that additional support.
Small group counseling is an integral component of a comprehensive guidance and counseling program. Throughout the year, I will have groups such as self-esteem, social skills, study skills, and divorce.
Character Counts! is the foundation for our guidance program. We have implemented the six pillars of character and focus on a different pillar each month. We also say the Kid for Character pledge every day during the morning assembly.
