On behalf of the staff of Blessing Elementary, I would like to welcome everyone back to school. We are all excited about another year of learning. The teachers and I have been learning and preparing all summer. There are 3 things I would like to convey to every student and parent. First, Blessing Elementary is a safe school. Our goal is for every student to experience a class free of ridicule and threats rather full of support and encouragement. Next, the staff is interested in every student as an individual and thrives on their student's success. Last, I would like to set the stage for and open line of communication. We need an equal amount of cooperation from the student, parent, teacher and principal. You are always welcome at Blessing Elementary if you have a question or concern.
I would also like to take this opportunity to tell you all a little about myself. I am a lifelong resident of Palacios. I am married and have 2 children. During the past 12 years in education, I have worked as a teacher, educational diagnostician, and assistant principal. I have a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, and a master's degree in administration and supervision. I am ecstatic to be the new principal of Blessing Elementary and eager to serve the students, staff, and community.
