Internet Safety Presentation
Students at Tidehaven High and Intermediate Schools learned firsthand about the dangers that are as near as your computer and cell phone. Sergeant Ernest Rivera, Cyber Crimes Unit of the Office of the Texas Attorney General talked with the students on Thursday, November 17th regarding the dangers associated with online activity.
The students were shown a video presentation about cyber safety during a school assembly Thursday. They were reminded that communications on the internet are never private. There is always a third-party involved.
Sgt Ernest Rivera has 26 years in law enforcement and since 2004 has worked as an investigator, in the Cyber Crimes unit of the Texas Attorney General's Office.
