Bond Survey

All Registered Voters of Tidehaven ISD,

Our buildings on our campuses have served us very well over the decades but the elementary and junior high campuses have reached the end of their useful lifespan.  The current high school was originally built in 1949-1950 with new additions in 1965 and again in 1993.  We are currently seeking public opinion on what to do with our facilities.  Most everyone agrees both elementary schools and the junior high school need new buildings and campuses.

Tell us what you think.  We have mailed out a survey to every registered voter within Tidehaven Independent School District sharing four distinct ideas that have been generated by the Bond Advisory Committee and our architects SHW Group.

Options 1A and 1B deal only with the ideas for the high school and junior high campuses.

Option 1A asks if you support the idea of a new consolidated HS/JH building at the cost of $30 million dollars.  You can check “yes” or “no”.

Option 1B asks if you support the idea of a new high school building and using the current high school building with renovations to become the new junior high building, at a cost of $26 million dollars.  You can check “yes” or “no”.

The next two options deal only with the elementary campuses.

Option 2A asks if you support the idea of a new consolidated elementary building at the cost of $14 million dollars.  You can check “yes” or “no”.

Option 2B asks if you support the idea of two new elementary buildings, one built in Markham and one built in Blessing (just like we have now), at a cost of $19 million dollars.  You can check “yes” or “no”.

Your opinion counts.  Fill out the survey and drop it off at the nearest campus office or mail it back to us.  We’ve already put the return stamp on the survey.
