Board Election Changes from May to
November |
|
Effective with the beginning of
the 2006-07 school year, school district elections for trustees are subject
to new laws passed during the 79th legislative session. Trustee
elections must be held in conjunction with a municipality on the second
Saturday in May or if no municipality exists within the school
district, the district must conduct a joint election with the county
on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November. Because no
municipality exists within the boundaries of this school district, the
Tidehaven Independent School District’s next school board trustee election
will be held in November 2007. School district voters will vote for the TISD
Board Election at their assigned
county
