Students in Mrs. Harvey's third grade class have been working very hard creating autobiography murals of themselves.

Students in Ms. Harvey's third grade classes have been creating models out of clay to represent their spelling and vocabulary words.
Mrs. Gray's second graders were being very creative as they made their turkeys before the Thanksgiving holidays.

Markham Elementary kindergarten students have had several classroom visitors as they learned about community helpers. Mr. Beyer, a local farmer, brought cotton from his field and students learned how important it is for us to have cotton and other crops. Mrs. Longoria from the First State Bank of Louise (Blessing Branch) discussed the role of a bank in our community. Mrs. Garcia, a dental assistant, told the children about the importance of keeping your teeth clean and healthy.
Markham Elementary students learned about respecting others and their differences during the Julian Franklin program, "Color Your World."
Mrs. Jeanne Beth Gray's second graders have been studying about apples and Johnny Appleseed. For an art project, they created apple mobiles.
Mrs. Rush's and Mrs. Zapalac's first graders pose wearing their patriotic hats they made during Freedom Week.
