 Tidehaven
ISD will hold its first Program and Facilities Advisory Committee
Organizational Meeting on Thursday, March 29, 2007 in the THS cafeteria
to collectively share thoughts, concerns, ideas, and suggestions to
develop this committee's "VISION"
for the Tidehaven Independent School District for the school year 2020.
The goal of this committee is to reach a consensus of TISD's future
needs and present these results to the TISD Board of Trustees by January
2008 or June 2008. Letters were mailed to
potential committee members on March 14, 2007.COMMITTEE GROUND RULES
- Committee members should share information with all patrons of
the school district
- Administrators will share information with campus staffs after
each meting
- All PowerPoint presentations, handouts, transparencies,
information generated, minutes, etc. will be posted on the
District's website
- Visitors are welcome to attend and observe all meetings.
(Visitors may give written or verbal comments to committee
members so members may express these suggestions or concerns.)

PURPOSE OF PROGRAMS/FACILITIES PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
- Review existing programs
- Review existing facilities
- Hear/gather input from parents, etc. not on the committee
- Gather input from TISD staff members
- Hear/gather info from outside consultants, if needed
- Architect
- Facility planners
- Financial planners
- Other outside consultants, if needed
- Use surveys to gather data from a variety of sources, such as
community, parents, staff, etc.
- Review economic feasibility of plan and/or recommendations
- Develop a plan to ensure our children receive a quality
education
- To reach a CONSENSUS on this committee's recommendations to make
to the Tidehaven ISD Board of Trustees
